Saturday in London, firstly to get the husbands wedding ring resized, we went to Tiffany’s, and it was so pretty all decorated with lights. The second we stepped through the door and were surrounded by glittering jewellery and pale decorations, I felt the first real tug of Christmas. Then to find somewhere new to eat as our favourite place had closed. But this only proved to be a highlight as we found a delicious lunch at Dehesa. Then up to Liberty’s to buy a few gifts, the flower shop was stocked with bright coloured blooms one side, pale on the other, and a barrow piled high with mistletoe.
Back in our little town, the windows are looking pretty, below is Warp and Weft, I love the vintage winged costume, goose and ice skates. Stopping to stare when all the shops were closed it made me feel really peaceful. Quietly festive. Compared with the carnival of colour in some of Liberty’s windows (top).
At work yesterday, I was in a whirl, busy wrapping customers shopping and inviting people to our old town christmas shopping trail on the 15th of December. Lovely new things in Butlers include, yummy chocolate truffles and beautiful Tokyo Milk bath products, nearly too pretty to unwrap. One more day of retail today then off to Ireland to have an early Christmas with my mum and sisters. Just need to evict those cats from my suitcase! x
